The "Service Provider" (Matousec - Transparent security) provides its service called Nmap Online (the "Service") to you subject to the following Terms of Service (the "TOS"), which may be updated by us without any notice to you. You can review the most current version of the "TOS" at any time at http://nmap-online.com/.

You agree that you fully understand and agree with "TOS", otherwise you are not allowed to use the "Service".

You agree that your usage of the "Service", more specifically your IP address and corresponding usage time, will be logged by the "Service provider". In case of any misuse or malicious use of the "Service", this information may be used by the "Service Provider" to take legal actions against you in cooperation with legal authorities.

You understand that the purpose of the "Service" is to scan computers (the "Target Machine(s)") connected to the Internet to help their administrators better configure their computers.

You can use the "Service" only if you own the "Target Machine(s)" or if you have an explicit permission from the owner the "Target Machine(s)". You agree that you are exclusively responsible for any consequences of the scan. You agree that you are exclusively responsible for any damages this scan can cause to the "Target Machine(s)".

2. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

The "Service Provider" makes no representations about the suitability of this service for any purpose. It is provided "as is" without express or implied warranty.

THE "SERVICE PROVIDER" DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES WITH REGARD TO THE "SERVICE", INCLUDING ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE "SERVICE PROVIDER" BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR ANY DAMAGES WHATSOEVER RESULTING FROM LOSS OF USE, DATA OR PROFITS, WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, NEGLIGENCE OR OTHER TORTIOUS ACTION, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE USE OR PERFORMANCE OF THIS "SERVICE".

3. TECHNICAL INFORMATION

The "Service" uses Nmap scanner to perform the scan. It was designed to rapidly scan large networks, althought it works fine with single hosts. We suggest you to read Nmap's documentation, especially Nmap Reference Guide. You can also be interested in some examples of Nmap's usage. All questions related to Nmap scanner should be sent to the author of the Nmap scanner, not to the "Service Provider".

  • You can scan IP addresses in C class subnet of your IP. The only allowed syntax to specify IP address is a.b.c.d or a.b.c.d-e (for example, if your IP address is 89.176.14.234, you can scan addresses from 89.176.14.0 to 89.176.14.255).
  • There can be only one active (running) scan from one IP.
  • Maximum 8 scan requests from one IP per 24 hours.
  • Maximum 40 scan reqests from one IP per 7 days.
  • Scan timeout is 45 min.
  • Options of Custom Scan can have up to 240 characters.
  • Browser must support cookies, JavaScript support is recommended.
